Plopmates is made by Plopmates LLC, a very small team. A real person reads this inbox:
Expect a reply within one business day. Abuse reports are actioned within 24 hours.
The fastest route is inside the app — it's instant and it tells us exactly what you're looking at:
1. Tap the ⋯ menu on any plop, forum post, comment, voice note or profile. 2. Tap Report, pick what's wrong, and add anything we should know. 3. It disappears from your feed straight away.
You can tick Also block this person while you report, which hides them from you completely and stops the app ever matching you with them again.
If you can't reach the app, or you'd rather not use it, email plop@plopmates.com with the username and what happened.
Open their profile — tap their username anywhere in the app — and choose Block. Blocking is instant and mutual: their content vanishes from your app, yours vanishes from theirs, they can't send you a plopmate request, and matchmaking will never seat the two of you in the same plop room. They are not told.
Manage everyone you've blocked in Menu → Blocked people.
Menu → Account → Delete account, then type your username to confirm. It's immediate and permanent, and it takes your plops, posts, comments, voice notes and connections with it. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what goes.
If you'd rather we did it, email plop@plopmates.com from any address and tell us your username.
Email plop@plopmates.com with your username and what happened. A human will look at it properly and write back. Automatic filters and report thresholds are blunt instruments and they do get it wrong.
Why didn't I match with my plopmate? You both have to be plopping at the same time, and matches are announced by push — so make sure Plopmate matches is on in Menu → Push notifications, and that Plopmates is allowed to notify you in iOS Settings.
Does Plopmates track where I am? Only if you allow location, only once at the moment a plop starts, and it stays private in your own stats unless you switch the share toggle on for a specific post. Deny the permission and everything else works normally.
Can anyone see when I'm plopping? Only a plopmate who is plopping at the same moment as you, and only because you're being matched together. There is deliberately no way to subscribe to when another person plops.
Who can see my plops? People you've mutually accepted as plopmates. The Plop Forum is the exception — that board is public to everyone in the app.
I lost my account after reinstalling. Sign in with the same username and everything comes back — plops, stats, posts and plopmates are stored against the username, not the device.
